Further, there are no by-products, alcohol, perfumes, parabens or petrochemicals either. Basically it’s healthy food for your skin, as we always say. What you might not know is that all of the containers used to store products are glass. What does that mean for you? Read more…
Glass vs. Plastic – The Benefits
Not only are there no chemicals in the product ingredients base, but you never have to worry about BPA chems leaking from the plastic into your moisturizer or cleanser. If you are concerned about these harmful BPAs – and you should be – then you will find peace of mind knowing that AHA! is beautifully contained in glass bottles. If you do not understand the important difference of cosmetic companies that value glass vs. plastic packaging, an article in The Chicago Tribune sums it up well. In an article from 2014 titled, Advantages of glass bottles over plastic become clear, the writer quotes well scientists regarding the increasing concerns of plastic containers in terms of health concerns. Said the piece:
About five years ago, scientists and the Food and Drug Administration started issuing warnings about bisphenol A, commonly called BPA, a chemical used in plastics and in the linings of some metal vessels. The warning was enough to prompt many plastic-bottle manufacturers to start making BPA-free bottles. And it motivated many consumers to look for alternatives for their older children and themselves. ‘Glass is made from naturally abundant materials — primarily sand — and it won’t degrade over time,’ says Scott Radcliffe, a spokesman for glass-bottle manufacturer Lifefactory, which is based in Sausalito, Calif. Plus, ‘glass can last for decades,’ he says.
The glass used for food and beverage containers doesn’t leach chemicals.
No BPAS. Better for You!
As we used only “live” ingredients, this was a real concern for us. And as we place the utmost importance on the effects of our products on the health of our client base, not to mention taking into account the highest of standards, we will continue to use beautiful glass bottles for our AHA! line.
